Putting yourself out there..

Putting yourself out there is never easy. Doing things that are outside of your comfort zone takes a lot of courage. Lately, I have been doing a lot of things that I never thought I would do. Putting myself out there has been rewarding but I would be lying if I said there haven’t been any hiccups along the way.Taking chances always comes with the risk that the outcome will not be what you wanted or expected. Even if the outcome isn’t what you wanted you will always have the knowledge that you took a chance, and did something different. Do not conform to the standards and do what everyone else is doing. Put yourself  out there and do you. Accept and embrace yourself for who you are.

Most of the successful people that we admire decided to put themselves out there when there was a possibility of them being rejected. This year take chances and put yourself out there. Life is too short to be worried about what people have to say. At the end of the day you have to look yourself in the mirror, and be content with the life that you are living. The quote below sums up what I have been saying perfectly.

“Believe that if you make courageous choices and bet on yourself and put yourself out there, that you will have an impact, as a result of what you do. And you don’t need to know now what that would be or how it will happen because no one ever does.’- Dick Costolo

That is the beauty of life though. You just have to be brave enough to take a leap of faith, and see what happens. Some things will never go the way we expected them, and that just adds to the mystery of life. Cheers to putting yourself out there! 🙂
